Just when tennis fans were anticipating a prospective Wimbledon finals match with the Williams’ sisters, the script was flipped. Venus Williams took a surprising loss in straight sets (6-2, 6-3) this afternoon to the unseeded, Tsventana Pironkova. Williams’ loss to the 82nd ranked player ended her hopes of winning a landmark 200th major game and 6th Wimbledon title.
